About Us
The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) is the national bar association of more than 15,000 attorneys and law professors who practice and teach immigration law. Founded in 1946, AILA is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization that provides continuing legal education, publications and information, professional services, and expertise. AILA is an affiliated organization of the American Bar Association.
The American Bar Association (ABA) is the largest voluntary professional association in the world. With nearly 400,000 members, the ABA provides law school accreditation, continuing legal education, information about the law, programs to assist lawyers and judges in their work, and initiatives to improve the legal system for the public. Through the American Bar Association, The Commission on Immigration operates a Fight Notario Fraud project, which is dedicated to putting an end to immigration consulting fraud. This website is part of the organization’s efforts to educate and protect consumers from notario fraud and immigration scams.
